How about Aholiab?  As I read in Exodus about the building of the tabernacle and saw their names, I pictured everyday people just going about their business, doing what they knew how to do best…”Here we are, building a tabernacle…doop-de-doop-de-doop.”  But wait…had anyone ever built one before?  Did they already know how to do all the tasks they were assigned?  (Well, I’m sure someone trained in bronze work was not over there making linen loops for the curtains).  Exodus 31:3, 6 records that the Lord was so interested in the fine details of His place of worship that he gave these men (and others) special wisdom for their job.

Sometimes we deem our tasks as unimportant.  However, unnoticed and unimportant are different words.  If the Lord has given you a job to do, no one will receive a little slip in the mail that says, “We regret to inform you that you job falls into the “Mundane- -No wisdom required for unimportant jobs” category.  We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.  If you are ever in the market for a more prestigious job, please feel free to try again.”

Our names may never appear in a leather-bound copy of Who’s Who in Tabernacle Building.  We have no clue about Bezaleel and Aholiab other than that they were used by the Lord. We, however, can receive a good dose of that same wisdom, just by asking the Lord-- no resume needed.
