Imagine if tulips had been designed with a will. Imagine their angst every spring...

“I don’t see any light coming through that dirt. I’m going back to bed.”

“Wow—hasn’t she dug up this garden yet? This dirt is like concrete?”

“How do you like that? I’m planted up-side down! All right, if that’s the way she wants it, I’ll just head that way!”

“What’s this—snow? Am I too early? Better go back down and check my calendar.”

Instead, every spring, the Lord uses those perennials as a visual aid of His faithfulness. And, He gives us a free will to stand on that promise, and to reflect that faithfulness in our lives.
