Do you like sparkly things? One of my daughters taught me to soak my rings in a bit of Windex and hot water to clean and shine them. Now I do that with other jewelry. Even a crystal Christmas angel ornament received the treatment!

Saved at age 5 (yes, a very long time ago), I take for granted the riches and jewels that He has given to me, even to each breath that I take for daily sustenance. While reading Daniel 12, vs. 9 popped out. Though the tribulation events were hidden even from Daniel, those saved during that time would be cared for, and given the understanding that they needed.

If the Lord gives that care to those saved in the end times, how much care does He give to me? How much wealth am I accumulating daily, compared to what those saints will have? As I reread my Bible this year, I must polish and use the precious and familiar jewels that are stored in His Word.

Thy Word is like a deep, deep mine; and jewels rich and rare
Are hidden in its mighty depths for every searcher there.
